CARNIVAL NEVER ENDS

It's raining, the carnival parade is over, but the people continue dancing into the street. Does the party ever end or does it remain in our minds, as something we can't stop looking for? 

 

It is a moment away from everyday life when we can choose to be kings, queens, masters, pirates of an imaginary empire. 

 

In the biggest cultural festival in Brazil, magic and enchantment are part of this ritual. We all keep in memory of a street block, club dances, bands or samba school parades. 

 

Here, I mixed my affective memories of other carnivals, looking for that transformation from daily life that makes Carnival so special for us.
